So a mate of mine is looking for a new laptop to game on with a budget of around £900 but could push that up to around £1300. He has some accessibility issues (cerebral palsy) and is wheelchair bound so he's looking for something that is not too big or heavy so he can move it around without too many issues. His main gripe with the current laptop is the two finger scrolling because he can't easily use two fingers at once. I'd guess that's probably going to be a general problem with all trackpads and I think in the past he's tried trackballs instead. It's probably never going to be connected to an external monitor so a nice screen would be a bonus. It won't be used with strong sunlight on the screen though. Resolution doesn't need to be that high as his current machine is 1080p.
The games aren't too taxing. I think the most graphically intensive is likely to be Elite Dangerous. Other than that it's mostly Total War or other rts / turn based games like Endless Legend and 4X stuff.
I've never really paid that much attention to laptop gaming so any advice / recommendations would be really appreciated.
