I'm assuming that's a 1.86ghz Pentium M (The 750) which is not remotely comparable to a 2ghz P4 or Athlon XP. Believe me, it'll be fast enough to run Oblivion with a decent graphics card.

I've got a laptop with a Pentium M 1.7ghz chip and it's a damn nice processor, pity my laptop has an Integrated Intel 900 series graphics chip, but I didn't buy it for gaming so no worries really :p

Im just going to hijack this thread for a little while, im looking at getting a decent spec'd laptop, probably mostly for gaming, well I have a nice PC at home (runs oblivion full whack), but unfortunately Im leaving the country for a year for an internship and it looks like im not going to be able to take it with me. So I was thinking of this

- Intel Core™ Duo Processor T2000 Sequence 1.83Ghz
- 2MB L2 Cache
- 15.4" WXGA Widescreen Panel (1280x800)
- 1024MB DDR2 Memory
- ATI Radeon X1600 512MB Hyper Memory Graphics Accelerator
- 100GB IDE 5400 rpm Hard Drive
- Internal 8x DVD+/-RW Drive
- Intel ProWireless 802.11b/g Wireless LAN
- Integrated Camera
- Integrated Speakers
- Built-in Bluetooth
- Bag/Case Included
- Microsoft WIndows XP Home SP2 Edition Installed and supplied
- Weight including battery - 3.00kg
- Dimensions - 354 x 35.2 x 284 (WxHxD)

£1,192.57

Or this

- Athlon Turion 64 Mobile 1.8Ghz
- 512KB L2 Cache
- 15.4" WXGA Widescreen Panel (1024x768)
- 1GB DDR PC2700 DDR333 Memory
- NVIDIA GeForce GO 7300 256MB Turbo Cache Graphics Accelerator
- 100GB IDE 4200 rpm Hard Drive
- Internal 8x DVD+/-RW Drive
- Intel ProWireless 802.11b/g Wireless LAN
- Integrated Camera
- Integrated Speakers
- Bag/Case Included
- Microsoft WIndows XP Home SP2 Edition Installed and supplied
- Weight including battery - 2.85kg
- Dimensions - 354 x 35.2 x 284 (WxHxD)

£840.07

I know the hypermem stuff isnt to be taken at face value but I can always drop another gig of ram in if I come across some money over there, but I wanted to know if it would really be worth it for the extra £300 odd preformance wise.# Either that or if anyone has any good leads
