Aye, although might be worth seeing if MSI come out with a 6970m powered version now over the 5870m (the 5870m is still decent, approx 5750/70 levels, but the 6970m is about equivalent to a desktop 6850, so the next class up)

Had been seriously been considering getting one of those - some gaming but mainly for running Adobe AE.

Also just noticed the lack of a Blu-Ray drive

at the end of the day , i doubt it would be to complicated to fit a bluray drive yourself it its an option you would consider.

You could always get an external blu-ray drive I suppose. Though I'm not a big fan of watching blu-ray's on a laptop, unless you planned on hooking it up to a TV or monitor.
