gaming laptop

I was poking around for a new laptop and found this on google.

Any opinions on the list? I've been out of the loop for a long time (3 years) so I'm not aware of most of the components mentioned.

Ideally I'd be interested in a new gaming laptop around the GBP1,000 mark but this will be with me for the next 3-4 years so i don't mind spending more if it makes sense.

um...this is a review site, not a retailer despite whatever links they may have given to coupons or expected sale prices which are also not even in this country or in the local currency so i fail to see how that constitutes a competitor.

2 year ago i bought a Dell Precision M6400 workstation , you can now get them for £300 second hand ... it'l probably have a DX10 card in them ... however type in dell precision into ebay and you see you get DX11 cards for them like the ATI HD5870 , for about £200 quid put one of them in it sell the quadro fx2700m card for £60 . total spen £450 and you'll have an equvilent to an AlienWare M17 laptop .
