Sorry little bit over budjet, but tried to include everything.

Ok also didnt include a floppy drive.... oops...... you won't need one for the sata on a nforce4 board anyway, but its a spec to work off.

Tried to keep the spec as high as pos without breaking the budget, personally i'd go to a cheaper CPU, but i didnt wanna be tight on the spending if you're after something real fast.

Nice, but I'd chuck out the XP 64 bit and just go with the normal one to acoid conficts and what not.

Would probably go for a different case myself and downgrade to an X1800XT to get a slightly better monitor.

And you could also change the CPU cooler for a Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro. £10 less than the Aero Flower so that will make it under budget too :).

Heres mine, AM2 so more future proof, silent fans, silent heatsink, PSU, mobo etc. with a 20inch widescreen TFT :)

Looks like a much better spec that! :D Especially since its future proof. Also has a nicer looking case, stylish imo. Would last you a fair few years for gaming ;)

how about getting the new conroe? that way you would have the latest tech :D

and you have more than enough cash for it :)

Yeah a conroe spec would kill that most probably! @ OP, whats your PC like right now? Can you wait a month and a bit or not? Lots of people would advise you to wait for Conroe :). I know i'm waiting for it and boy my current specs are...

Turd

If you change the GPU and the HSF, you'll be changing them for noiser ones.

I choose those parts because they are quieter, the poster asked for a quiet system, and theres no way these x1800's are quiet. I was to the understanding the x1900 isnt as bad for noise, hence why i choose that.

The hdd is also a 16mb cache, another reason i choose that specific brand.

Just to clarify on what i put in the spec before.
