Can someone spec me a machine. Required for gaming. Operating system will be required also a monitor and the base cannot be to big. Budget is £750

Do you have a max size in mind when you say 'can't be too big'? Also are you comfortable with overclocking?

I'd possibly go for this card over the GTX 560 for the same price:

That build will be over budget since you need a quality psu also, nice spec otherwise though.

Well I am no good with computer this will be my first build. I just mean previous towers have been really big and tall. Just wanted something bit smaller

The case Murray suggested is one of the larger Midi cases, this one can still fit full ATX motherboards, it's a bit shorter (by 8cm I think) and cheaper:

Also this PSU is very affordable and comes with the 2x PCIE connectors you'll require for either graphics card.

If you want to save a bit more then skip on buying the Arctic Freezer cooler and just use the stock cooler for now, then you can upgrade later if you decide you want to overclock (further). The stock cooler will still allow some overclocking.

That i5 2500K is an OEM chip so no CPU cooler included in the latest build. Also that motherboard will only do Crossfire at x16/x4. PSU is a bit overkill for a single 6870. Consider a Crossfire compatible board as the 6870 scale very well and you could add in another in a year to two if that is of interest.

My personal preference would be to spend a bit more on a decent quality 24" screen, after all it is what you'll be looking at all the time!
