Between Intel Core 2 Extreme and AMD FX 4170 & Intel i7 3930 K and samsung 830 which one would be a better processor for my dedicated gaming machine?

My advice would be to get one of these with a Z77 motherboard.

The Samsung 830 is not a processor, it's an SSD hard drive (solid state storage).
Why? Grab an Ivy i3.
I thought his choices were a bit strange, I7 3930 £460 or an FX4170 £95.99. Has he got money to burn for a high spec system based around a £460 processor or is intending to build a budget system around a sub £100 processor?
