I have never used a Mic for gaming as I don't want people picking up background noise (if any)!

I have a recently bought Fosi K7, thanks to this forum, which is great. I want to plug a mic directly into that device, which I will use occasionally for gaming only.

Please can you advise a suitable Mic that, ideally, only picks up my voice (rather than the nearby TV, dogs etc.); is that possible?

I wonder if the Antlion Audio ModMic is an option.

Modmic is good. I have one, attached to my Amirons. They seem to have gone a bit expensive to be fair. Still they sound great.

A mate bought some Hollyland lavallier mics, and he uses them now. I picked some up on Black friday, but haven't used them yet. They pick up backround noise though, but sound pretty good.

If you use Discord they do a pretty good job of filtering out back round noise. Also Nvidia used to have a program called Nvidia broadcast which is really clever and brilliant for filtering out back round noise.

+1 to this. nVidia Broadcast is great as long as you have at least a 30 series card.
You just need to remember to disable the noise cancellation in Discord though. If you run both at the same time you get random cut-outs.

I’ve been on AMD a few years so not used this for a while. But in game you don’t select your mic but the relevant Nvidia option.

Yeah you have to select nVidia broadcast as your mic source - I'm just saying if you select nVidia broadcast as your mic in Discord and then enable Discord's noise cancellation it causes problems.
