Gaming Mice

Do wireless mice make any noticeable difference to gaming, are they slower etc?
I currently have a 1000dpi wireless mouse and wondered if there is any advantage with getting a wired 4000dpi mouse for example.

Any help appreciated and suggestions for a replacement are welcome. (Within £40)

Wireless are useless for gaming imo.

Just get a decent wired mouse

slightly over budget but have a look at the Razer Lachesis.

price against performance yeah could get a couple of the Lachesis' and change

I've seen the Razers before but I'm not sure about the shape of them, I have a microsoft wireless laser 5000 at the moment, the weight and shape of it is great but I'm not convinced it's as fast for games
