omg how overwhelming is it to buy a gaming monitor these days , my gaming desktop Ryzen 9 5950X Nvidia RTX 3080Ti comes next week and i'm frantically looking to try and get a good performance monitor for it not really fussed about 4k one as seems most retailers are struggling to get stocks

And we have a Samsung 85" Q90T which we use on the PS5 & XSX, this monitor will purely be for desktop pc gaming

budget really upto £1k
screen size 27-32"
2560 x 1440p

any recommendations worth looking at especially if you are owners of any of the said monitors :)

If your budget is £1k would you consider an Ultrawide? They really are next level.
Again, if that's your budget then you can have your pick of the market really. Good 27 inch monitors are sub £500. Even the Samsung G7 32 inch is around that price and that is almost top of the line.

well yeah pretty much anysize really if it fits the budget , not quite sold on the G7 especially the 32 seems the 27" is better maybe :)

I don't have any experience of ultrawides (though I run 3 monitors, so I know the extra horizontal space is great to have) - however if you choose not to go that route, I recently bought the Aorus FI27Q-X and I've been very happy with it so far. Picture quality is good, it has FreeSync Premium and GSync and manages 240Hz.

cheers for the moment we have gone with the samsung G7 , F127q-x was my 2nd choice so will see how this one pans out

34 inch ultrawide with that PC set up, give your new set up something to work on.

I have used ultrawide for years and will never go back to a 2 monitor set up.

My monitor:
iiyama G-Master Red Eagle GB3466WQSU-B1 34"

Cheap and cheerful for me.
