Gaming Monitor vs Gaming Tv

At the moment I'm not to sure what root to go down, buying a 49" Samsung G9 Odyssey gaming monitor or buy a 55" gaming tv.This will be powered up by a Nvidia 3080 10GB Graphics card.

What are your thoughts, or better suggestions.

TVs usually have lower refresh rate, resolution and response time than monitors and can have higher input lag, but which models are you comparing specifically?

I have been looking at top spec samsung tv, not sure what would be better OLED OR QLED and LG C2

Is it purely for PC gaming or will you use it for Console gaming or watching films?

It would be for gaming, I have a 32" Alienware at moment, and its about 6 years old now so feel for the need to upgrade.

I was gaming on my LG 55"" TV CX Oled 120hz and then i bought the Samsung 49"" Odyyssey G9 240hz Oled monitor. Im back gaming on my CX its just better for me. I prefer the comfort of the couch. And the CX is still amazing me some 2 to 3 years later.

What if you only had to game in the office, desk and chair keyboard and mouse because I normally play FPS game what would you choose?
