I have £700 to buy a new monitor,I have a EVGA 1080TI FTW3,I know I should stay away from ACER from what I've read so I think it's down to ASUS or AOC.
My last monitor was a 27" and I would like to go bigger if possible so what's my choice? Thanks.

Acer are fine, you can run into the same problems with any of them unfortunately - buy from somewhere you have confidence so you can return it if it's not acceptable.

The lg 32gk850g seems decent and is available for £709 from ocuk, decent review on tftcentral - big thread about it below. The Acer/Asus larger displays come in slightly over budget, if you can stretch it slightly then they are worth comparing.

I was hoping to grab one of the HDR displays, but they seem to be delayed until q4, plus could be massively expensive. Not likely to push the price of the current range down much.

This is the one that I was looking at as it has 2k

ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q 27" 2K WQHD 165Hz IPS G-Sync 2K
And this.

AOC 35" AG352UCG 100Hz Ultra Wide Quad HD Curved GSYNC Gaming Monitor

If 27in is enough then it is a good option, but for me the extra 5in that you get with the (cheaper) LG is a no-brainer!

And if I was looking at the AOC I'd get the updated 120hz one :)

With the LG I sometimes run it at a 2560x1080 scaled resolution (even 2560x1200 on occasion, for that nice blend and higher Field of View over 16:9) as I prefer an UW look to some games, which makes it equal to a 30in Ultrawide (and only being 18in from my face it's plenty big enough).

Came across this monitor it's on a deal for £588 Alienware 34 Curved Monitor : AW3418HW

Any feedback ?

Got it down these 4
Can run this in gsync with my card.
ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q 27

This one will run fine with my card no gsync
ASUS STRIX XG32VQ

This one I'm not sure of as it's got a higher Rez but it can run @ 100 Hz
ASUS STRIX XG35VQ

Or I can really skint myself and get this.
Asus PG348Q 34
This has gsync and should run fine with my 1080ti.

I wouldn't bother with one of the older 60hz (that oc to 100) UW panels @clone , I'd go for one of the newer native 100hz ones that overclock to 120hz. I'd def take a look at that UW AOC though too, unless IPS is a must.

Isn't there a newer version of the AOC one coming out, from what I hear it's got little improvement on the older one.

waiting on a (retail) price for the AOC, but by the time it come's i'll probably be waiting on a retail price for the LG, but by the time it come's i'll probably be waiting for a retail price for the...

I tried the x34p and while I liked the size, colours and almost everything about it I just didn't find the motion that smooth at times in destiny 2 so decided to return it and just keep my swift. Good monitor and if I didn't have something already good or it wasn't nearly a grand it would be worth compromising.

Ok sorry to be a pain but ive got my pick of the top 2 im looking to buy and would like to hear from people that have them and how they are.

Acer Predator X34P
ASUS PG348Q 34
