Gaming Mouse and Keyboard?

Recently built my own PC.. with help from these forums, and im really happy with it..
but now im going to need to buy a decent keyboard and mouse!
at the moment im using a useless wireless keyboard, and a £3 mouse!

Looking to spend about £40 for the keyboard and mouse together!
They dont need to be great, as long as they are okay!
Any suggestions?

How about this keyboard and this mouse. Only downsides being that they're both out of stock at the moment. Alternatively there's this keyboard and this mouse.

The Microsoft SideWinder X4 Gaming Keyboard is a popular keyboard here. As Is the Razer Deathadder.

I own both and I am happy with both but your budget doesn't like them =/

I would Suggest the Sidewinder X4 and possibly one of these: SteelSeries Ikari, Gigabyte M6900, Logitech G400

Even though I have a grudge against logitech I loved the G400 and found it hard to find a replacement.

The Gigabyte M6900 is a very good mouse for that price, think I bought mine for £20+ and was still very happy with it. It's quite a long mouse so if you're a claw grip, it probably isn't for you!

I think you should try before you buy if you can .Mice and keyboards are a personal thing even on a buget .Do you play games ? or type a lot ? this may help you split your spend in the right direction ?

I'd go for the Sidewinder x4 and Ss' Ikari as already posted above. Both said to be very good products

The sidewinder X4 and the G400 would be my standard recommendation but it does come in above your budget.

So realistically I'd say this Keyboard for features such as windows key lock out and 11KRO and the g400 mouse.

My G400 started disconnecting/reconnecting recently (about year after purchase) due to broken wire I think, where it goes into the mouse. Scan replaced it under warranty, but it seems that others have had the same problem, so dont know how long they will last.

Ok thanks.. order that sidewinder x4... and still thinking about which mouse..
also wondering do i need a mouse mat?

and if suggested should i go for a £1 mat, or £10 mat
