Mostly for shooters, what are the best options these days? I have always had Razer mice which were fine but the problems with this mamba and the hassle getting a replacement have put me off them. Logitech have loads - which are best options?

Someone else recommended Steelseries Rival 700?

Need:
Adjust sensitivity in game
Thumb buttons
Possibly wireless if they last longer now?

mad catz do some nice mouses i have the rat 7 and rat 7 contagion and both have been great.

a lot for the shooters tend to stick with razer as the most popular though i think

I had 3 Razer mice start having issues with falsely thinking I'm double-clicking after about 2 years, so I also looked for a different branded mouse about a year ago. I went with a Logitech G403 but it took some getting used to since it has a high back compared to my old Razer mice. Pleased with it generally though. I got it for £40 back then, which seems to be the standard price now...maybe there's a newer version by now?

Depending on how you grip a mouse would decide your best fit - claw, palm or fingertip grip.

Here are some well-reviewed choices in slightly different sizes and shapes:

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £161.87 (includes shipping: £9.90)

But mice are so subjective due to hand size, it's best to use one in person before purchasing if possible.

I like using rocketjumpninja's mouse recommendations, as he lists his hand size and has a lot of experience with FPS games (Quake) on good mice.

I have the G502 i like a heavy mouse before that i has the Steelseries sensai which i still use for work, fit my hand well but it cost me about 80 quid at the time. (so a vote for the rival 700!!)
If you dont want the bling just a great functional mouse i would look at what Zowie are offering.

How well the mouse fits your hand / works with your grip is more important than how many billion DPI it has etc

G403 or the Steelseries 300 of the ones mentioned.

The G502 is a poor shape for gaming due to the awkward placement of the extra buttons and the mouse wheel being too raised up and stiff to press. It's also just a tiny bit too small to palm if you're someone who found the old mx518/g400 shape to your liking.

The Rocket Ninja vids were a good suggestion. He knows what's up when it comes to shooters and mice.
