Need a new mouse as my mx518 is getting a bit worn out and my 5 year old icemat has seen better days. The mouse will be aimed at FPS games no need for mass amounts of buttons like the Razor Naga. im currently liking the Coolermaster Sentinel Advance 5600dpi Gaming Mouse but a friend told me the Roccat Kone V2 Max Customisation Gaming Mouse was good. no clue on mats.... any suggestions on both?

I have a Logitech G500 and a Razer eXact Mat, works wonders for me can't recommend them highly enough.

Don't buy the exactmat, as the surface gets worn down after a while and becomes all scratchy to use. I'm using a razer sphex at the moment, and the surface is pretty much the same as my old exactmat, but much cheaper and less bulky. However, this is only a feasible option if you don't do much moving around with your PC, as the adhesive will eventually grow weak when repeatedly stuck/unstuck.

Razer Deathadder and the Steelseries SP mat are a great combination...I've had mine for years and they still work flawlessly (very quick and smooth action, great for FPS).

Deathadder is currently on special offer I think (this week only deals)

had a razor before and it broke quite quickly, the wire became loose and faulty. Tempted though. not sure if i want to go the hard mat route again.

im currently using the Razer Deathadder with the Razer Vespula Mat

cant fault them at all, althou they might be abit pricey

I would expect an Icemat to last a lot more than 5 years, seeing how it's made from glass.

Must have had mine for 1-2 years and apart from been covered in fingerprints it feels/looks pretty much brand new.

Maybe yours needs a quick wipe :p

a lot of the black has been scratched off and it missing 2 feet so it rocks a bit  still liking the Roccat Kone V2, anyone had one of these?

I've had my Icemat for 5 years, and it's as good as the day I bought it.

Tsk Tsk....Some people just can't look after anything. :p

Xai is an awesome mouse. Not a fan of their pads though. Puretrak talent is by far the best cloth mat on the market right now (worth the import)
