Thinking of buying one but im not sure what ones "for me" because I don't want to buy say the Copperhead and not like it if you know what I mean. Well anyway I've always used £3-£5 mice and am wondering if its any better using like the Copperhead or G5.

The mice are expensive as hell though I mean the Copperhead has been out for a year or more and its still at £40-£50.

So reconmendations? Also the Habu looks pretty good.

I have always used cheapish mice, but just recently bought a Logitech MX518, and i am extremely happy with it. It really makes a difference in games, FPS especially. That's my recommendation

I have an MX510 so I would say go Logitech but then again the copperhead is a very good mouse as I know many people who have got one. The G5 is also a great mouse although there is also the mx518 which is also a good mouse but it isn't laser (iirc). As for the HABU as far as I know there have been reports of awful software and firmware for it although I don't know if this has been rectified my MS yet. Theres my opinion :)

I just recieved a G5 today, i had been using a 5 quid mouse beforehand.

I must admit its a really nice mouse. its taking me a while to get used to, but the quality is good, and the accuracy is spot on.

Worth the 33 quid i paid, basically because i use it for endless hours and play FPS games, so why not splash out!?

another Logitech MX518 fan here , took a wee while to get used to it after using a flatter cheaper mouse for so long but well worth the money :)

In the past ive used intellimouses, and when it broke i used a crumby generic one, but it was pretty decent for games.

been playing fps on pc since half life was released.

is the g3 any good, and are laser mice really that much better than optical mice???

I wouldnt say this g5 im using is a great deal better than my old intelli, its good, its got more features, its sharp and smooth, but i wouldnt say it was significantly superior. Its just a bit better :)

so i dont think the difference is that great

Another vote for the G5. But if you are a hardened gamer you may want to look elsewhere, as the G5 lacks a right side button.

altho if its anything like the G7 you have got the adition of the tilt wheel buttons

yeah the scroll wheel can be moved left or right, so its another 2 buttons really

I used the G3 last week for a little while, seems quite nice and a little more accurate than my mx510. Not a huge difference though.

I think most of the top end mice will be a good choice, unless you are seriously serious, then most will do :D

w've had this discussion on here many a time now, I think what it comes down to is if you want either a mouse that you control more with your fingers like the Razer series of mice, or something that you control more with your hand and is ergonomically designed to fit the shape of your hand, personly I'm not a fan of any ergonomically designed mice and much prefer a finger mouse like any of the Razer series.

The intellimouse is meant to be best for gaming. I have been playing Counter-Strike for the past 3ish years and i have used Razer Copperhead for the past year, and personally i think it's a great mouse, however i know people who have hated it and bought a new mouse the next day. You might want to try buying a new mousepad aswell.
