I used to have a G7, loved it, but it broke after a couple years of use. Spoke to Logitech and got a G9 replacement for free.
Also got a MX-518 for my laptop.
I'd recommend both mice. The MX-518 is perfectly fine if you don't need the advanced features of the G9.
