Gaming mouse

Hi all, looking to buy a gaming mouse in the near future to better break open the heads of mine enemies.

Looking for a reasonably priced one that does the job, kind of the antec 300 of gaming mice as it were.

Logitech m518 is my current preffered choice, can anyone see anything wrong with this or have any better suggestions?

Nothing wrong with your choice mate, logitech mice are the best i have used.

mx518 is a great for the money and it lasts a LONG time

I have the mx518 and its very comfortable to use. Best for its price range and much easier to aim with compared to your standard £6 mouse.

Its a good investment!

What is your mouse grip?

Claw or Palm?

If its claw then the Steelseries Kinzu Mouse is fantastic.

Never tried the MX158.

difficult to say, it's rather subjective. You'd better off trying them , but that's a tall order

The only problem with 518 is that it's not as good as it's bigger brothers but then it depends if you really need extra binds and/or weights (which I personally love).

Other than that it's your best choice unless you can buy g5/g9/g500/g9x .

I've played with a g5 and g9 and I still prefer my mx518 with qck steelpad.

tbh i havent yet seen anyone call either bad, trend seems to be with most guys is best one is the one you are using at the time

one thing i have noticed though is that whatever mouse i tend to use, my trusty 518 is always there, and has been for years when ive needed it.
for longivity, it never ages and never ever goes wrong.

You're right, most people have not used every mouse on the market, i went to pc world's mega store and was lucky the assistant let me try a few of the gamers mice,can't say it was a good trial though,just enough to get the size and feel of them.
I received my MX8 sidewinder and i am absolutely loving it.

MX518 here. Brilliant mouse and an amazing price. I'M sure the Deathadder is good also, but at twice the price the MX518 seems to be the better buy.

You really can't go far wrong with the mx518, had mine for about 5 years and it's still serving well. Good price atm too, was £50 or thereabouts when I bought it.

I needed a wireless otherwise i prolly would have gone for the mx518.

Very subjective thing to recommend is a mouse.

I have always preferred the 'claw' style mice. Recently upgraded my trusty MS Laser Mouse 6000 (did me proud for over 1900 hours on BF2 and 250 hours on BC2) before the wheel got a bit too loose for my liking. Cannot get one anymore unless you pay silly money. Just replaced it yesterday with the only one that looks similar and got a Steelseries XAI. Very nice it is too but at a cost.
