Anyone in here game on their PC using a TV? thinking about using a 32" TV
Samsung UE32F5000

would also be used for web browsing etc

Web browsing (or anything with small text) can be problematic as you're often two or three times further away than you would be with a monitor but most games will play just fine.

To be honest then that's too close for something that big. You won't be able to take in everything on the screen so bad guys at the edge of the screen will be outside your peripheral vision.

Go for it I have a Sammy 32" TV had it hooked up to the pc as a second screen along with my monitor, now i use it as my primary and never turn on the monitor. I also sit 2-3' away from it and find it much more relaxing then the pc monitor (which was 24") don't worry about your peripheral vision you will see the bad guys at the edge of the screen lol.

I bought a 15 metre hdmi cable a couple of months ago to hook up my pc to my 50" plasma. Best £10 I've spent in a long time. Its great playing games at 1080p and 60fps with most if not all the eye candy on full while sitting on the couch.

I just used my 32" tv on my desk for a week and it was fantastic! The picture colour / saturation might need a bit of tweaking but otherwise its great. I'd push the tv back on your desk though.

I play most of my games on a 42", and often play whilst on the sofa using either a controller, or USB extensions for kb/m and I find it great!

I use a proper monitor for most things, and have the TV as a 2nd screen which I use for films and games.

I tired gaming on my 32 inch was to way to big having that beast on my desk... So I went for 24 inch monitor found it much better. I would recommend a 24-27 inch monitor over TV unless you were going for dual screen set up so you can watch films and play steam big screen on the TV (sitting back away from the desk).
