Is this possible I currently have a 720p 32" sammy and a 360 + PS3 but i miss gaming with keyboard and mouse chatting on teamspeak with my clan etc. So I'm looking at offloading the 360 and trying to get a quiet PC in the living room.

(Possibly a shuttle)

Anyone else have their PC connected to their main TV?

Tried it. Depends what kind of games you play. If you are a hard core online FPS player I would say noway hosay. If you just play WOW and RTS games maybe but for FPS you don't get the response you need as well as having too large a screen to look at for that all important head shot ;)

I'm a FPS player. So how do peeps get on with a 24" LCD, there ain't much of a difference between 24 and 32"

Well I was more meaning a TV setup like in a lounge. I am an FPS player and play on a 24 LCD Monitor at a desk. Also there is differences in monitors for comps and screens for TV's especially in response times.

I am now in the situation, I think playing FPS games is a no no on a TV, how can you play a fps (eg css) on a tv, where is your mouse and keyboard going to go? on a coffee table? for me thats just not possible, i need to be at a desk to play a fps properly, in a good seating position to line up the head shots.

I play on my settee no problem, on a 46" LCD games look brilliant, would not go back to a 24"! Mouse can be a problem but there are lots of things you can do, I actually use a DVD storage box as a mouse rest, works well. only problem is you do need a plug in keyboard as wireless keyboards are not up to the job whereas a wireless mouse is...

so at least it works which is great to hear.

I'm going to get a 3rd party cooler for my CPU and GPU and transfer the "beast" to the living room :p

Either that or sell my parts and get a lappy with HDMI out if one exists hehe

It will work well but bear in mind that you're better using the native res (1366 x 768) rather than 720p output. If you use 720p the image may be scaled.

I game at 1920 x 1080 and it's the ********.

FPS, assuming your Sammy is up to the job (which some HDTV's aren't) will be fine.

I game on my 50" 1080p plasma tv in the living room @ 1920 x 1080 and its
awesome , only problem is where does the keyboard / mouse go
I am currently trying to find a decent solution for this.
