I am a cheapskate - run two CRTs and a centre LCD for 3840x1024 off a Matrox Triplehead2Go, which cost me about £50 in all (inc screens at £1 each). Once you try triple screens I think most people don't go back, and I want to try Eyefinity and all three screens as LCDs (I picked a 1650x1080 one 
), but will have to beef up the 4890 for that. I seem to get on OK with the bezels - I think of it like the pillars of the car when driving.

oh, talking of eyefinity is there a way to calculate the graphics card required for certain res's?
As a general rule it's as simple as 'it will be three times slower update than on a single screen'.
So play the game on yer single screen, look at the FPS, and decide if you could handle it being a third of that.

If:
- BC2 would stop crashing when it's enabled.
- ATI would sort out their drivers so switching between Eyefinity & triple extended wasn't a manual process (profiles won't do anything after reboot)
Then I'd love it more, I picked up 2x22" monitors for half the price I bought the first for so I'm not too disappointed but it's just being let down by software at the mo.
Great effect in-game though, don't even see the bezels on the screens. Shame BC2 handles the side monitors with a stretched effect, all other games just have it as what you'd see normally on the sides.

I have profiles setup as icons on my desktop and can switch between them no problem (going from eye infinity to triple extended and even down to single monitor), have you got the latest drivers installed? i'm using 10.12 but without the preview version of the control centre, just the standard one.
you should take a look at

it has some good fixes for FOV issues which can cause the stretching effect.

Do Nvidia have nothing similar to eyefinity?
Nvidia surround, though it requires 2 cards to work. But its backwards compatible with the geforce 2xx series since it works through software.

Cheers mate, after a few weeks of using this i must say i could never go back. I know a few guys in the clan who dont use eyefinity anymore but for me its fantastic, does really feel like 3D when using it...
On the other hand tho if you've always played a game one particular way its hard to change!!
Note to any1 who plays this on WoW i cant find any stable drivers on ATI 5850 to support WoW on ultra or high.... will keep crashing despite attempts. When the gfx's are on medium it runs amazing.... that said i can barely tell the difference between ultra and medium.
Didn't see this post.... nice1 could do with a few fixes on certain games!!

Well just got my eyefinity set up and tried wow on there...
Was worried at first because of a little lag... but stormwind seems to be the new Dalaran, soon as i left perfect FPS of 60 - 100 on ultra high.
Its crazy when you move feels like your watching it in 3D... that said its only five min's playing... will see 2nite when i have a few hours session with beer
Any1 else playing 5670x1024 perminently or is it just a novelty thing that gets annoying?

Used to have eyefinity with 3x24" monitors and a hd5970, was awesome and I do miss it sometimes especially with Eve Online where i could not recommend it enough.
The added peripheral vision from the left and right monitor saved me quite a few times in bfbc2 etc, hope to eventually go back to it once i get the money again, i'm sure something will pop up to stop me though lol.

Im torn at the moment, currently have eyefinity 3 x 24" but not really using it for gaming. Considering going for a 30" and a 24" as a secondary
I definatley want at least 2 monitors as I have all sorts of stuff open on the others when im playing but three screens seem wasted for me

I used have the 2nd monitor for other stuff.... i dont really miss it tbh, all i want to be able to see is who's speak on mumble which thankfull mumble can do!!
Thinking of getting the ATI eyefintty 6 card maybe get another 3 screens above.. that way i can have bottom 3 for gaming and top 3 for info and stuff..... LMAO (we can all laught but bet we're all thinking of it haha)!

I have been running Eyefinity for about quite a while now and when it works I love it. Dirt 2, L4D2, TF2 are great. The unfortunate this is that not all games work properly.
A good site to check out is widescreen gaming forum. They do nice detailed reports on games and how to get them running.
Just after modding L4D2 so that the HUD was all on the centre monitor which works well.

jeez we have same mouse,keyboard,screens and both use eyefinity! clearly a man of good taste! I switch between profiles. I use it mostly for black ops and need for speed shift. its awesome sometimes
