Advice on headphones please (for brother)

So these are only for gaming preferably with a mic (or add-on mic ie modmic).

Budget is £200.

Has no sound card or amp so if needed these would need to be included.

Currently looking at Sennheiser 373D. Good/bad, better to be had for the money?

Cheers all :)

Should be able to fit some 598's and a mic into that budget, not sure he needs a sound card or amp for now, they should do just fine on mobo audio until he has funds for something more.

V moda m 100?

You may thank me later but apparently they have a lot of awards.

Maybe not those cost 200 quid already.

He needs a amp dac or soundcard.

V Moda are all about the bass and that would be particularly BAD if playing competitive FPS games.

If just for games then motherboard audio should be fine as long as it's a fairly recent model.

The Sennheiser 373D should be good as they are based off the HD 558 and the microphone is very high quality compared with most headsets.

If you want to spend (considerably) less then the HyperX Cloud is a major bargain at £70. Like the Sennheisers they are based on a hi-fi headphone, in this case the Takstar Pro 80.
