Gaming P.C full build. Advice needed

Ordered from Overclockers:

Coolermaster HAF 932
i5 3570k

Elsewhere:

Corsair M4 128GB
Seagate Barracuda 2TB
Gigabyte Z77 D3H
Corsair 8gb RAM
DVD RW
OCZ 650 ZT PSU

Was just too much money to order everything from the UK.

I assume everything will still work together and be cool enough without additional fans?

In other news I've just seen the location under your grav. I lived in WSM for 25 years up until 3 months ago :)

Nice selection of kit there. I read you had a 560ti...correct? Did you not consider SLI'ing it? 650W is enough juice to run two. You could keep your current card and add another one later if you wanted....just a thought.

The graphics card I'm currently running is a AMD Radeon 5400 :) My 8800 GTS broke and i couldn't afford a decent one to replace it so just needed something cheap to get up and running again

The Powersupply and Motherboard come with those connectors :P

Sweet. I'm so clueless.

So my Coolermaster HAF 932 just arrived (a day early than I selected which could have been annoying if I didn't start work at 1pm today!).

What an absolute beast of a case. Knew it would be big but it's HUGE, and rather heavy too. Looks really good though. Shame I have nothing to put in it currently.

Now have my 3570k i5. Just arrived.

Love how both things I ordered from overclockers are here already but the stuff from the Irish sites, of which one I ordered 2 days before my processor aren't here.

I'll remember that next time.

Trying to get everything sorted for when the rest of my parts arrive.....hopefully tomorrow.

With the drivers for my motherboard do I have to download every single one from the site. Like under chipset it says

Intel Management Engine Interface and Intel INF installation

and for SATA RAID it says

Intel® Rapid Storage Technology and Intel SATA Preinstall driver
(For AHCI / RAID Mode)
Note: Press F6 during Windows setup to read from floppy.

Do I need both of these for each part or just 1 depending on my setup?

Do I have to create a partition on my SSD to install Windows 7? And is it best to unplug the HDD, install windows on the SSD then shut the computer down and plug the HDD back in?

Cheers for the advice

You will get a driver CD but they will most likely be out of date already. It's best to download everything. You probably wont use the RAID driver and there will be one for intel smart response that you wont use either.

Only have the SSD connected initially. Go into the BIOS sata options and set it to ACHI. Then install windows to the SSD, when you are up and running you can power down and reconnect the storage HDD and tidy the cables up etc if you so wish.

Good luck with the build, any problems or questions.....just ask :)

Sorry for the hijack but I didn't set my SSD into ACHI before installing Windows will this make a difference or?

Ok, so even if I do download those drivers it's not going to make a difference if I don't use certain aspects of them?

depends on drivers. Some of them help with stability issues, some with performance. Some native drivers are not very adequate (for example, standard microsoft NIC drivers are iffy).

Usually, you don't have much choice in what the drivers provide. You're better off using default settings and not fiddle around with them too much.

Gutted! Knew this would happen.

All my parts from one company just got delivered. But the graphics card from a different company didn't. Guess that means I'm waiting until tomorrow then :(

Guess I can still do the rest of the build today and just add the graphics card tomorrow.
