Afternoon,

Finally decided to build a new PC, looking for a system for gaming (primarily) but will be doing some graphic and web work (Photoshop etc.) I've been looking at a Devils Canyon build (stock speeds to start with but would like a stable overclock at a later date). I have a budget of £1000 but perhaps could be squeezed for a little more. I don't need the following:

- Case (I have a Corsair 540)
- Monitor/ TV (secondary Display)
- Mouse & Keyboard

Things I'd like: Corsair Water Cooler? pretty open after that.

Any suggests would be greatly appreciated, especially around the graphics and motherboard.

Thanks Doomedspeed :)

Looks a great spec and a few things I wouldnt of thought of e.g. new fans and keeping everything looking nice (how could I forget the big window on the side of my case.)

I'm pretty set on the following:

- Intel Core i7-4790K
- SuperFlower Leadex GOLD 850W
- Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO
- Corsair Hydro H105
- Kingston HyperX 8GB (2x4GB) 2400MHz
- the recommend Fans

Just a few questions about the motherboard and graphics card, probably just ignorance. I've always gone Nvida in the past, is there any reason not to go for a similarly priced Nvidia card?

I read a review looking at the pros and cons of a variety of z97 motherboard and it seemed they get very similar feedback so why this particular board? Bang for buck?

Lovely spec. Don't imagine that beast of a PSU would have any trouble with any CrossFire further on, either.

This is good to know =]

Those light up connectors are wasted in the 540 case :p

At least my cables won't be afraid of the dark

You should be able to slot in a 2TB drive instead

You have put in 2 H105's, you only need one :D

Haha I noticed that, I just thought double the cooler double the cooling power! ;)
I've amended my post and will stick in 2TB.

I'm thinking of going for a new mouse and keyboard (max £100), I've got a Logitech G15 which is still in good working order so maybe a half decent mouse. Any suggestions?
