Hi folks, I am looking for a PC(pre-made) for around £1350, i don't need an operating system and i will buy a monitor myself, so i just need a suited and booted tower. I will use the PC to record gameplay and obviously play games :D

I like the titan builds like Scythe and Tanto but i am having a hard time deciding.

Thanks for your time.

Hi there :)

You can pretty much choose your own components and ocuk will build it for you. That way you are not restricted to the pre-build specs.

EG:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Powercolor Radeon R9 290 PCS+ OC 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £299.99
1 x Intel Core i7-4790K 4.00GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £259.99
1 x Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z97 Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £119.99
1 x NZXT Phantom 530 Full Tower Gaming Case - Black £104.99
1 x EVGA SuperNova G2 850W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £99.95
1 x Corsair Hydro H105 Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CW-9060016-WW ) £89.99
1 x Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 2.5” 7mm SSD + 9.5mm Adapter (CT256MX100SSD1) £79.99
1 x Kingston HyperX 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black/Red (HX24C11BRK2/8-OC) £67.99
1 x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DM001) HDD £59.99
1 x Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £17.99
Total : £1,217.35 (includes shipping : £13.75).

If you posted the above basket (or any basket) in the customer services section, then you can ask ocuk for a quote to build it for you. You will get the same warranty as a pre-built system.

I have chosen an NZXT Phantom case, as it is similar to the Tanto/Scythe builds. If you want a different case, then you can choose something else (Provided everything fits)

The Corsair H105 in the spec is a sealed water cooler. I think it will fit ok, but that is something you can check with the customer services. If it won't, then you can swap it for the H110, H100i or the Antec 1220.

The 850W power supply will allow you to add a second graphics card should you need the extra performance in the future.

A nice size 256GB SSD for the operating system when you install it, and room for your games/programs.

If you don't have any preference between Nvidia and AMD graphics cards, then the 290's are better value than the Nvidia equivalent (GTX 780)

What operating system are you going to install ? If it is Windows 8.1 then the Corsair H100i can cause issues (Software related) You might be better going with the H110 or Antec 1220 in that instance. I don't think Windows 7 is affected.

Here is the link for the ocuk shopping cart plugin - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18371076&highlight=browser

If you are running google chrome - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ocuk-shopping-cart-viewer/empfloiadabicdlgahhamannadefhehj

Once you have decided on your final spec then open a new thread in the customer services section, and post your basket in there. You can then discuss your options.

Thanks for the response, i will grab the plug in. I am going to use windows 7 premium, the 290 is great value for sure but i am tempted to get a 780:)

What is the resolution of your monitor going to be? Are there any ergonomic or environmental factors we should consider like size or noise or fur-shedding animals?

Sorry, did everyone miss the pre-built bit?

If he only has £1350 to spend to get a custom one made the spec will have to be £1200...

For now the resolution will be 1920x1080 but i probably will go for a better resolution in the future, There are no real environmental factors to worry about, it will be kept in a relatively cool place and size isn't an issue.

I like the look of the case below so i would like something similar to it.

YOUR BASKET
1 x BitFenix Shinobi USB3.0 Gaming Windowed Case - Black £59.99
Total : £69.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

EDIT: I can probably stretch to £50-100 more so it's not too big a deal as long as the PC is relatively future proofed.

The Superflower and EVGA psu's are basically the same. They are both manufactured by Superflower.

The Superflower Leadex has LED light up connectors and a 5 year warranty.
The EVGA doesn't have the light up connectors, but it has a longer 10 year warranty.

Both are very good choices.
