Hey all my neighbour wants me to build a PC for her to play games.

She has a £500 budget and that is just for the case and contents , no monitor , keyboard etc required as she has that already.

I am out of date since building my last PC (i7 2600k).

What would you recommend ?

An SSD Would be nice although not totally essential.

Cheers

Yeah will need windows unless there is a legit way to get it free ?

She wants Witcher 3 for definite , to be honest i'm not sure what games she even mainly plays.

I know it is a very limited budget for a gaming PC but hopefully something can be done.

I am sure it would be alright to make it 500 plus the cost of windows if i talk to her.

Good price on a 960 with 4GB memory and is compact so would fit that budget case.

i3 + 960 running Witcher 3

Watch vid on full screen to see FPS below RAM usage on the left.

Compare prices for Windows out there.

Intel Pentium K Anniversary G3258
HIS Radeon R9 380 IceQ X2 2048MB
Gigabyte Z97M-DS3H Intel Z97
Seagate Barracuda 1TB
TeamGroup Elite Black 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz
Corsair VS 550W '80 Plus' Power Supply
Aerocool Qs-180 Micro-ATX Chassis - Black
Microsoft Windows 10 64-Bit DVD - OEM

That lots comes to £510, but you may need to salvage a DVD drive from somewhere so you install the OS and any other software she needs. The GTX960 is a comparable like for like card as the R9 380 and they can be had for the same price, but if you need to save money you would need to cut back on the graphics or go 2nd hand.
