Gaming PC £500

Hi all, this is my first time building a PC, specifically a gaming PC. I'd like to build it myself, so advice and tips would be great.

Now the difficult part,I have no idea where to start.

I'm sort of looking for everything. The games I'd like to play are Total War Attila and Warhammer, maybe CSGO and some others like Battlefield

Ebay and Amazon would be good places to have a search no? I mean I could compromise and get a second hand case and monitor etc because I'm not obsessive about that sort of stuff right now - my priorities are about what's inside.
