A friend of mine after many years of saying he will be getting a gaming PC has finally put up £550 for one.

He for now will only need the base unit with intention to run these games

Fifa
Football Manager
Total War series
Flight simulator games
Heart Of Iron series

Thanks in advance for any help

Are OS, monitor & peripherals required?

No he already purchased Windows 7 long time ago when there was deals on web for £35 thinking it would go on his very old laptop.

I am loaning him a monitor/mouse/keyboard for time being.

If this is for pre-built he wont be getting a good pc for that price :P

It's me building it for him.

That PSU may be a wee bit tight for a GPU though (the £410 bundle)

OK that's a shame looking at separate prices for those parts that bundle did look very good price

I spoke to him and he said he may be able to add bit more so £550-650 budget now for just base unit if that will make a difference.

thanks again for suggestions so far from everyone

I have that cooler on a 8320 in a asus m5a97 evo r2.0 currently using an antec 300 case.

Great temps with the set up as well, really pleased for the price of the cooler!

Shame it doesn't appear to fit the case and I don't know which other case option to choose for around £43 mark
