Thoughts anyone..? I would like to say you may want to spend a little more on the keyboard and mouse however... But in my opinion every new build needs to have an SSD for caching with the SSD prices as low as they are currently. It seems silly to have such a massive and semi-permanent bottleneck.

I think you've butchered my spec to work in a SSD that isn't great to be honest. The intel 330 SSD would get my vote but I feel 60GB isn't really big enough for the OS and games for a lot of users. THe CM silent pro 500W has no ETA so that was a pants suggestion, I see you adopted the OCZ ZT too ;)

I've used the 1TB barracuda instead, it's only a little more than the 500GB you have used, no brainer really lots of room for storage :) I've added the 60GB intel SSD as the total price comes in at what he was happy to spend.....of course the OS needs to be added later though.

I've used the 1TB barracuda instead, it's only a little more than the 500GB you have used, no brainer really. He can drop in a SSD later as an upgrade along with the OS later perhaps. Then the 1TB HDD becomes ideal for storage :)

I suggested the SSD to run in smart response enhanced caching mode so the operating system and all of the most frequently used programs are copied to the SSD and change dynamically to suit the applications you are using most frequently. Just like I have my vertex 2. And theres nothing wrong with the Agility 3, the read/writes are just as good as far more expensive SSD's. Too many people get caught up in OCZ's 'high failure rate' which is nonsense. OCZ don't have a high failure rate on SSD's, the failure rate is still incredibly low, it just happens to be one of the highest when compared with other brands. So in the real world, all SSD's stand an almost equally small chance of failing.

I realised that about the Silent Pro afterwards, i believe it was in stock a couple of days ago. And yes, the ZT is a nice PSU, I would very much like one (of a higher wattage) myself, but my ModXstream is fine for the minute. Fair point with the SSD, but re-installing the operating system on another drive, or setting up SRT after you already installed the operating system and configured the drives can be a pain.
