KFA2 GeForce GTX 560Ti EX OC Edition 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor
MSI P67A-G45 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard (Sandybridge) ** B3 REVISION **
BeQuiet Pure Power L7 530W '80 Plus' Power Supply
Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (WD5000AAKX)
Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9)
Cooler Master Elite 335 Case - Black

Not wanting to spend much more than £600

Was just wondering if all the parts would work together, and would last atleast a couple of years with a couple of part upgrades along the way.

Don't need an optical or keyboard/mouse/monitor or OS

I'll be mainly playing on 1366x768 and would prefer intel

Thanks again

could you suggest a card then that would last a couple of years and preform really good during that time? And my friend has the Coolmaster and says it's a good case for first time build but I'm open to any suggestions.

Glad to hear it's looking good though, been working on it for ages :P since it's my first time :D

The 560 is fine and will do you for a few years without needing to upgrade, you could opt for the older and cheaper 460 to save some money but if you can afford it then the 560 is better (and quieter and cooler)
As I said the CM is a good little case, but for not too much more than Antec 100 offers quite a bit more, thats all

cool, I was trying to get a pc between £500-£550 (was told by other people that the 560ti would last longer than others) so I was wondering about getting a lower graphics card, if possible to play on 1366x768. Might take a look at the case though, thanks

At this price range, the Antec 100, or the Zalman Z9. Good case, roomy and with fan controllers. Looks are an aquired taste :) Better case upper range would be the CM 690 II, but that's almost 2x the 335.

Well I tend to assume that people play at 1080p for some reason. For the resolution you play at then a 460/5850 might be more suitable but at the end of the day, a 560Ti will still last longer than those. I think it's your decision and normally I would suggest spending as much as you can put together on a PC.

The Asus Direct CU line is good. My offer.

I still think you should get a proper case. 335 is just a bit too cheap.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus GeForce GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £173.99
1 x Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor £161.99
1 x MSI P67A-G45 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard (Sandybridge) ** B3 REVISION ** £99.98
1 x Zalman Z9 Plus Tower Case with Fan Controller - Black £44.99
1 x BeQuiet Pure Power L7 530W '80 Plus' Power Supply £44.99
1 x Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9) £30.98
1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (ST3500413AS) £29.99
Total : £601.91 (includes shipping : £12.50).

That's actually a decent gaming system. All it needs is a bit of OC on the 2500K, which you can do later.

The PSU is rated 35A @ 12V (420W) iirc, so that should be enough, altohugh I usually recommend 650W for a single card gaming system.

Think I'm going for this build, I know about the Graphics card but I can't strech my budget and most of the deals will end by the time I raise the money for it all.
Just wondering If I needed any extra fans, or even a stock cooler and thermal paste or is all this stuff ready to magically turn into a pc? :P

That will serve you well I'm sure. I have no worries about the graphics card, at anything up to 1080p :)

I wouldn't bother with fans and bits until it bothers you. There is plenty of poke in a stock 2500K, and the case is well kitted out. The PSU will do fine as well. You can do overclocking later, add a £20-£30 cooler, and you'll be good to go for 25-30% extra boost. I wouldn't overclock much on retail cooler but some do. The currently cheaper retail 2500K comes with fan with pre-applied thermal paste, and 3 year warranty. The MSI motherboard also comes with extended warranty.

The deals end Wednesday morning.

Was comparing the i5s, is the retail not less than the version I have in the build, or is not that much to notice

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor

Intel Core i5-2500 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail

Integrated HD 3000 (12 EUs) Graphics, on the retail it's half of that, everything else the same but retail is not Unlocked Multiplier

Sorry, don't know what they mean but just wondering if it makes any difference

I recommend the cm 690 II, if you can find space in your budget. I just built my system using one (following advice from this forum) and it was much better than any I've had before. I spent a larger portion of my £650 budget on the case than I'd intended, but i don't regret it. It's huge (compared to my previous cases) but, as a consequence, has great air flow and also contains good cable management space and easy drive bay access etc. Build quality is also solid (in steel) compared to most (flimsy plastic).

I agree on the graphics side, your first choice should be more than you need at your resolution, as suggested. Cooler wise, if you're buying a k, i think you might as well get an OEM processor and a decent cooler. At net £10 cost I got a hyper 212 which is a lot better than stock and will let you make more headroom out of being able to overclock. They are a bit tricky to install first time, but if you watch the install video on YouTube you can replay it endlessly and follow it through step by step easily enough.
