Was looking at building a decent gaming PC for 1080p gaming. Mainly fortnite, csgo, rust, rainbow six seige.. but I dont want to be limited to only eSport games.

Is this the best I can get for the money or should I go for a 1660?

Any changes welcome..

Sounds like a plan..

So the RX590 will be able to play Cyberpunk and other newer AAA titles comfortably?

If thats the case then it seems the remaining budget can be used for SSD or case etc.

Is there any difference in the SSD or M.2 drive?

Cheers.. if he was go from RX590 to 5700XT/2060.. what would he gain from the extra £150-200.. is it worth or should he just be using the RX590 and upgrading a few years down the line?

Cheers,

Since I have a rough idea of the parts based on price also, would the RX590 or 1660 SUPER be better to get? Noticed in some benchmarks the 1660 has higher frames and only seems around £50-70 more.

Yeah large ssd seems to be best decison will choose that.

I think the RX590 is the best option for him. I noticed the 5500XT are around the same price and similar performance but not releases yet.

Is it worth waiting for these or just get 590. Also when are the 5500XT released?

Cool.. so..

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £768.51 (includes shipping: £19.62)

Only thing not 100% on is the case... so he can choose whatever he prefers but I said £50-70 is a good point.

So being £50 under budget is there anything that should get added to this build?

Lol..

Well incase he needs more space ill prob either add in the 480gb ssd or 1tb hdd for £35-45.

Also he was looking at a 144hz montor.. any recommendation on here for 1080p 144hz freesync??

Or should he just stick with 75hz?

Cheers just finalising the build now.

What is better:

Gigabyte M.2 NVME 1TB £99.95
or
Kingston 960GB SSD £79.99

Is it worth saving £20?

Im going to also add either a 1TB HDD or 480GB SSD.

Right... after speaking with them they said they might jump up from the RX590 to the 5700/2060 (preferably the 5700 for freesync). Mainly cause the prebuilt system they seen before for £950 had a 2060, but the other parts were no were near what I have here.

So I put this together for £900... is this worth the money? 1080p gaming, high FPS, future proof for a good while.

Says the GPU is 20th Dec.

I will remove the cooler then he wont be overclocking anytime soon.

Will either put the £35 saved towards a dearer case or extra 1tb hdd/480gb ssd.

Cheers.

He is ordering those parts now.

Will all the parts come without GPU first or wait till all at once? Means I can build most of it and stick GPU in when it arrives.
Or.. does Ryzen 5 3600 not have onboard graphics?

You'll need to call them to ask to ship the other parts first, otherwise they won't bother, and they don't allocate stock so other parts might go out of stock before the GPU comes in!
I'll pass the message on for him to do, we thought they automatically would as he paid for Sunday delivery so they would come tomorrow (except the GPU till 20th).

Contacted them and guy has split order so that all parts come tomorrow except GPU.

Says hopefully it will come by 20th but can't guarentee. Says contact them on the 20th if its in stock and they will update to Sat or Sun delivery to get it faster..

Cross fingers time :(

If this Gigabyte GPU doesn't come in on time what are the next alternatives to go for? The 5700 for £315?
