Gaming PC - £800

I'm pretty rubbish at choosing upgrades so I need help.

I'll be salvaging the following from my current system
Case (antec 300)
2* 70GB Raptors
1 1TB WD (6Gb/s 64MB)
Monitor, mouse, keyboard etc
Plextor DVD

Everything else is going so I need

Mobo
RAM
PSU
CPU and cooler (prefer not to watercool but will consider if convinced otherwise)
Graphics Card

Not to bothered about SSD at the mo, will likely stick with Raptor RAID as primary drive.

Mostly use rig for gaming and would like it to comfortably run the following on good settings.

BF2BC (doesnt run to well on current rig)
GTA4 (as above)

Hoping 800 will be enough for this and maybe some futureproofing.

Whats your current cpu & board can the CPU be upgraded?

If you cant upgrade the CPU you could look at something like this

Cut down on cooling - Titan Fenrir and graphics card - Asus 5850, if you want to.

Total cost with free delivery just below £830, with a downgrade - £780.

Sure, 5870 would be a little better choice but bear in mind that 5850 can overclock to the same levels as 5870 does and the performance difference would be around 5% in most cases. This is a great and future proof gaming rig with an option of adding a second 5850 in the future.
