Hey,

I am looking to buy a gaming computer with a budget of £1100 max.

I don't need monitor,keyboard, mouse, headset etc.

I will be playing WoW a lot and that's about it and maybe the odd newish game.

Ideally want to stick with Intel CPU and Nvida gx card. ( Would be nice with a 1070)

LED included would be nice too

I also would prefer this prebuilt but can get my brother to build my own.

Another option is upgrade my current pc.. specs below:

Case - Cool Master Storm Enforcer
CPU - Intel i5 3450 @ 3.10 ghz
Memory - 8GB Vengeance DDR3 @ 1666 MHZ
Motherboard - MSI Z77A-GD55 (MS-7751)
Graphics card - 1023MB Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 ( will be honest this is quite an old graphics card now and will need replacing soon, tested it with most newish games and works on fine med/high settings)
Power Supply - Corsair CX 750M
Storage - Seagate SSD 120GB
Optical Drives - TSSTCORP CD/DVD
Water cooling - Corsair CPU water cooler

Also if i get a top end of Graphics card im not sure if i need a specific monitor, please can you recommend?

Any advise would be much appreciated.

ps: i will be purchasing this via finance if that makes a difference over 36 months

Thank You

You could get away with just upgrading the GPU and maybe adding some more RAM. a GTX 1070 would make a world of difference over the GTX 460. You won't need a new monitor, but a 1440p g-sync monitor pairs really well with the GTX 1070 :)

The MSI Z77A-GD55 will allow for a 3.9ghz and you might be able to up the bus speed from 100mhz, so you might get a little more. Add 2x8gb of 2133mhz RAM and you should have enough CPU power to push a top end card.

What CPU cooler do you have?

You dont need an entirely new kit of RAM tbh. you should have two slots free, or more possibly and you can just populate those with similar RAM.

Without getting all patronising about it it seems daft to get a 1070 and high end monitor when your buying on finance, especially for WoW. Nothing against the game but you really aren't going to see the benefit of that 1070 on a CPU bound game so it seems crazy to spend all the money over three years when you just won't utilise it.

For WoW, CPU single core seems most important so you could look for a second hand 3570k or 3770k and learn about overclocking as your current part is not a K SKU so will not overclock. Secondly i would buy some DDR3 RAM that matches what you already have and drop that in along side. 1600mhz is fine for that cpu, you dont need 2100 or anything crazy. Lastly go for an AMD card that is good for 1080, and maybe a free sync monitor to pair.

Your CPU is actually fine and probably not much performance to gain but a second hand 3570k can be had for around £90 probably. Plus a £20 cpu cooler if you dont have a decent one already

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £441.96
(includes shipping: £0.00)

IF you don't like my money friendly options then stick with my RAM suggestion of upgrading your current RAM with more of the same and Go with Noakesy85's suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I will have a think about them.
Regards to the monitor my budget was only around £150 if you can suggest anything ?

I'm just thinking of getting a mid range graphics card like a gtx 970 or something and another 8gb ram to play wow.

What you think ?
