Hi guys, I'm completely new to PC building and all the rest and am looking for a lot of help, so thanks in advance for any replies!

  • I'm after a complete parts list for a gaming PC, budget of around £1000, as well as case/ monitor/ keyboard/ mouse/ headset/ mouse mat suggestions and anything else I'd need.
  • Could you add some reasoning for parts choices, why you'd prioritise spending more on some parts then others and monitor size and stuff like that so I can learn a bit too?
  • Where is the best place to buy parts from?
  • I've seen some people using both SSD and HDD alongside one another, is this advised? Is dual monitor set up worth it?
  • Finally just any advise you can give on helping set up my first gaming PC :)
Thanks again!

Welcome to the forums,

May I ask what games you play/planning on playing? latest AAA titles?
Also whats your view on pre-loved components? (Second Hand)

Hi!
I'm not the most up to date, but Farcry 5 looks great, will want to play Battlefield 5 when it's out.

I think I'd prefer new components.

Thanks

@SDragomir

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £959.94 (includes shipping: £14.10)

I'm useless with mouse's and keyboards.. I have a collection of £200 keyboards so the worst person for it !

Monitor is above the standard 60hz you normally find in everyday life monitors, TVs and what consoles display to .
The GPU has the ability to display high quality - above console at 1080p as well as over 60fps ( FPS and Hz match like for like ) .
Both have the ability to sync the screens refresh rate with the cards rendering so it'll appear silky smooth when gaming, and a lot more fluid due to high refresh and FPS .

Down side is windows ... It costs a lot. Few guides out there explaining how to download the ISO file onto a USB to install windows and then Buy a licence for cheap !

A mouse! oooo i can help with that. i got one about 3 months ago called Sharkoon Shark Force, can pick em up for less than £20.. great mouse and has some weight to it
