Gaming pc build up

After a 5 year break (due job change) I decided to get/build a gaming pc BUT, because of lack of expertise I’ll need a hand from you guys.
• At the moment I’m looking around 800£ to spend.
• Not an issue about second hand parts (monitor)
• Need suggestions if will be better to buy it in parts or just tryin’ to get a good price from a shop.

Due to time frame I’m out of knowledge (video, processor) so what would you recommend me for mainly COD warzone/ Pubg/ CsGO on a medium/high spec?

I know it’s a long shot, but I’m absolutely confused at the moment as I’ll need some time and research to catch up with everything.

That rig would handle pubg and cs:go no problem, but I don't know about warzone. It wouldn't cost £800 though, I hope!

Not at all, it’s around 500£ not negotiated yet with the seller, but from the other side got another offer for 500£ on this... so again I’m confused wich one will be better .

The i7-4770K is a superior CPU, even though it's several generations older.

The 5500 XT 8GB is in a similar performance bracket to the 1060, but 8GB vs 3GB of memory would be very helpful in modern games.

The extra 4GB and SSD would be nice too. Not keen on the PSU.

If you're paying £500 for those, can't help but think you'd be better off paying more to build your own, brand new, this comes to: £720

If I had to choose between the two used, I think the i5-7400 would be my choice because it is newer, it has a graphics card with more memory, an extra 4GB and a SSD.

If it doesn't have a monitor for the same price, then it's likely poorer value.

Neither of those PCs is even half of new consoles and are fully unupgradable to anything approaching modern level.

Nope, i wouldnt touch either - appealing VFM and rubbish for 2020 onward.

now; what you would recommend guys to upgrade first on it? Video? Cpu?
Should I go for a gtx 1660 super 6gb or higher?

I would want a much bigger upgrade than a 1660 Super to be worthwhile, more like a 3060 Ti, but the 1060 6GB should be fine for your needs for now.

The only CPU upgrade (unless you use a modded bios) is outrageously expensive so I wouldn't bother.

would not cause any issues adding a 3060 or 2060/70 on it?

cpu upgrade you mean if I wanna go in the future to i7?

btw: at the moment I’m running warzone at 100/120 fps on low/medium settings - very happy for a 400£ set-up

A 750 watt PSU should be able to handle a 3060 Ti, yeah.

CPU: yes, the upgrade is a i7-7700 or i7-7700K and they go for £150-£250 second hand which is just ridiculous when a brand new 10100F for £75 performs similarly.
