Been waiting for the Z97 motherboards to be released before posting, but it seems they are up finally :)

The build will mostly be used for gaming / uni work. I already have a copy of Windows, mouse, keyboard, case (NZXT H440) and graphics card (EVGA reference GTX 780).

I went with the reference 780 as I was hoping to add in a second card at a later date and heard that these would be good for dealing with the extra heat, plus it was the last one in stock for a reasonable price. Ideally I'd need the PSU to be able to handle the second card at a later date.

I was looking at overclocking the CPU so I was thinking about maybe the corsair h100i?

The budget for the rest of the parts is up to £760, I might be able to stretch a tiny bit more. As the H440 has a giant window 'themed' parts would be a plus, I particularly like the look of this board, but any advice on this would be appreciated. :)

This is what i'd be looking at:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - OEM £233.99
1 x Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE250BW) £119.98
1 x Gigabyte Z97X-SLI Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £104.99
1 x Seasonic M12II EVO Edition 850W '80 Plus Bronze' Fully Modular Power Supply £89.99
1 x Corsair Hydro H100i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CW-9060009-WW) £88

Total : £771.01 (includes shipping : £11.75).

though you can obviously wait for the Haswell refresh chips to arrive instead of grabbing a 4700k, but they are selling them off cheap currently (as the new tech is just around the corner).

Thanks :)

Is there much difference between waiting for the refresh and the current 4770k CPUs?

Some are available for purchase now. :)

The "K's" haven't yet arrived though.

There's a 100MHz speed increase for each model, which ain't much, and the chips will run cooler according to news and reviews, which would be good. If anyone is aware of any more important differences, I'd also like to know.
