Hi All,

It's time for a new build. I built my current PC in 2008 and I'm not familiar with what the latest/greatest components are. Can you please spec me a system for £1500? :)

Please include:
- Motherboard
- Graphics
- CPU
- SSD
- Memory
- Case
- Power Supply
- Windows
- Fans, coolers etc... if necessary.

Not needed:
- Monitor
- Mouse
- Keyboard
- Storage HDD
- CD/DVD Drive

I'll be using it for a bit of everything - gaming, work, Photoshop, video editing...

Cheers!

The Gaming 7 comes with 8GB of RAM for free.

Also be aware that the case does not have any 5.25" external bays, so if you have a DVD drive then it will either have to hang out the side when you install windows or buy a external drive and connect it when needed.

Do you plan on running 2 gpu's ?

Also what resolution is your current monitor ?

Not necessarily. To be honest, I don't know enough to know whether it's worth it or not. I'm really out of touch with PC components now.

My resolution is 1920x1080.

Well basically Crossfire (which is 2 or more AMD cards) allow you to eat up games at maximum settings and upto much higher resolutions.

You dont have to get 2 cards now, you can always add another later on either new or 2nd hand.

Yeah, at 1920 x 1080 the one card is best then, as by the time you upgrade your monitor (if you ever do), obtaining a second card will be cheaper.

Maxed the budget to include 16GB RAM and a 780Ti... also a case I'm in love with lol. But the two cases Stu and Lee specced are lovely as well. You absolutely don't need to spend all your budget. It's just for if you want to do that anyway.

Excellent, thanks guys. Not sure which case I'll go for yet - they all look great.

Why is that? [/noob question]

That resolution doesn't really require the horsepower of a high end crossfire/sli setup. A higher resolution setup is when cf/sli would be beneficial.
