had my current pc since may 2011 water cooling broke few months ago and the graphics card is about to die
not sure if its worth saving anything other than the bluray rom (want a new case)

want for gaming(1080p) some streaming and video editing

theme green most my stuff is razer

just got a razer tiamat 7.1 so maybe a soundcard?

can spend around 2k got 2 monitors mouse keyboard

You just want the tower right? no OS/monitor as you have those.

wanted the retail as its on offer but sold out :(

not 100% on the case and if i should get water cooling
will my old psu be ok? i can always upgrade if i want to sli
 
I tend to spec 850W PSUs for GTX9080 in SLI (thats if you want SLI) or 750W for GTX970s.

It might be fine tho (especially for a single GFX card), so keep it.

not that sure about the memory just liked the green leds lol

if i go for a 980 i can upgrade to sli later when the price comes down
 
If you like green then you like green.

But I think the audio section on the motherboard glows yellow (which would have matched the Avexir golden RAM).

But that LED can be turned of in the BIOS i think along side the audio section to use the separate sound card.


I have one more suggestion and that is to go red+black, and use a Z97 Sniper board from Gigabyte that has a creative sound chip already on the board and fancy capacitors etc.

You need X99 boards+CPU for that, the raw clock speed of the 4790K vs a 5820K will be quicker for games.

The 17 4790K still has 8 threads vs the 12 of the 5820K.

SP range from Corsair which are optimized for static pressure.

Obviously in the 140mm size for the H100 or 120mm for the H105 and others.
