Hi guys,

My friend is looking for a PC that can run recent games, doesn't need to be on max. His requirements are that there needs to be an SSD for the OS and plenty of space for media. Peripherals are needed except the monitor, which he already has for some reason. Can anyone give me a bit of help and spec me something? Thanks.

He might buy used i2-2500 (non-K, so not overclocked insanely, maybe at all) @ Ebay, I can't give a link due to anti-competitor(?) rules. Used CPUs are good to purchase as they don't break up so often like other components, and such mix of used and new stuff allows to maximize overall performance. Just compare with above post.
Motherboard Z77 @ Ebay 40 pounds. I can't find anything cheaper here, @ Clearance lines.
It's 94 pounds cheaper than new Haswell build, instead of 250GB SSD buy Samsung Evo 120GB which makes difference = 113 pounds. It's enough to buy Gigabyte GTX 970. Rest is the same. Plus some 3rd party cooling.
Worth considering, especially Haswell platform wouldn't allow overclocking (maybe upto 3.7 GHz, if motherboard is capable). i5-2500 is not better overclocker (+5 bins as well), but Z77 mobo allows o/c when your friend buys "K" CPU (2500K/2600K,3570K, 3770K).
