A friend has asked for a PC to be built and his budget was £500, this is for literally everything, I have said to him this can't really be done.

Can you guys spec a good PC that would manage running Arma 2 and DayZ for as cheap as possible.

Thanks, Antony

More info, up to £800 is okay, would it not be better getting a 2500k and a cheaper motherboard and spend the savings on a better GPU?

By the way does this have to be a machine playing it on max settings, or just to be able to play it at a usable frame rate on high settings? Because it's entirely playable on an i3 if you don't mind some dips...Assume it would be fine on a Phenom II X4 overclocked or similar also.

He also wants the PC to last as long as possible, so getting an i5 would be the better idea in my mind as it's much more of a pain to upgrade a CPU than a GPU.
