Hi Everyone,

I am currently looking for a self build or pre-built system for my 12 year old son for Christmas. It will need to have a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Budget is between £1500 - £2000 but could consider more if I thought it might be required.

Ideally I would like him to have:
- A single GTX 1070ti graphics card (preferably one that is quieter until over a certain temp like a Super jetstream or MSI).
- 8-16GB DDR4 RAM.
- A QHD monitor.
- Windows 10.
- An SSD for the OS and a 1TB or 2TB Seagte HDD for installing games.
The quieter the better, if possible.
- Possibly to run VR in the future should I buy him a VR kit for his birthday next year.

I was hoping that someone might be able to help with some suggestions please?

Thank you all in advance!

Hi everyone, thanks for the replies. I have put a basket togther and wanted to gage thoughts.. I know it's over budget but the good news is that the grandparents are looking to get togther and get the monitor so I don't have to include it.

Is there anything you would change, perhaps something that performs better and is the same price or cheaper?

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £2,155.93 (includes shipping: £12.60)
