I have the Aorus board, lower version but has the same VRam count , just without the fancy lights , VRM temps have been fine. Ordered a temp gun to get a visual show and i7 8700k turn up last night. , Will check that next week.
I always change my thermal pads an any product and find it drops temps up to 10c on anything . Issue would be the pad and contact .
As mentioned the Non K chips from coffee lake are incredible and offer such good money for what they are - well at launch but nice to see their prices coming down. You can pick up an i7 8700 non K for £320 !
Lot of quotes for Gigabyte products, if you take a look at motherboard and GPU section you can see why, a lot of rep presence to help out users with issues are RMA
If you want VR the Aorus cards , they have internal HDMI which you can link to the front of the case , makes life easier . Recommended a few Aorus vr builds with bequiet Pure 600 case
