Hello.

I am looking for a gaming pc and don't really have a clue to where to start, it will be for playing games, battle field 4 etc. I don't need the monitor or keyboard etc but will need it to be able to connect to the wifi. I will need the pc built, I do not know anyone that could build it for us.

The person it is for would like a Nvidia graphics card, that much I do know! If possible I would like to get a gaming pc that wont be out of date in 6 months.

Can anyone advise me, or point me in the right direction?

Thank you very much for any help.:)

Hi stulid, thank you for replying. Yes it will need to have an OS.

My budget is a bit flexible, after weeks of reading, I am still not sure how to make sure I get the best set up that I can, so thank you for your time.

Thank you so much for this help. It's for my son.. He better be putting as much thought into my gift from Santa ;)

I am not sure about resolution, I'm sorry. I do know that he has a 24" monitor. That probably doesn't help does it? Sorry.

We would like the best graphics card that we can get, with the intel i5 that you listed. Is it then just a case of asking the store to build for us?

Thank you again.

Thank you both so much! I really appreciate this, to me it's like a different language all this stuff lol.

I think it deff has to be the 970 graphics card, thank you.

Shivy, what cooler would you add to that? Does it definitely need one?

Sorry for all the extra questions.

And one more question (most likely will end up more than one!) if he wanted over time to upgrade and had the confidence to learn how to do it, would that build with the GTX970 allow that?

And would it be a case of unpacking, plugging this in and playing - bar the odd thing? But it would be ok on wifi?

Would you be happy with such a build? Would you enjoy gaming on it?

See! I knew it would be more that one question! This forum is a lifesaver, thank you.

Sorry me again!

Can I just ask, does the above (with the GTX 970) need a cooler? and I know this is going to sound thick but does it need a sound card?

I keep looking at the Titan tanto pre-built too...my budget is getting slammed lol
