i havent got a lot of cash but i have 500 quid to spend on a pc with ocuk any ideas on whats the best pc i can get? not a monster gaming pc but a ok pc to run most games i got £500 quid and just need the base unit i also have OEM XP Home coa not used so just need the hardware.

i have a dvd rw and a standard case & hdd.

so just mo.bo ram cpu gfx card PSU

42p over but oh well, will work well and give you a rather good gaming pc especially if you overclock the CPU. If you do any encoding etc i suggest changing the cpu to a Q6600 but if its just for gaming you cant go wrong with the e8400
 
Kearney_1988's recommendations seconded. That's a good list of parts and they'll make a very decent machine.
