Hey guys :) been using the same system for about 4 years now, and its really starting to struggle to play the latest games such as Black Ops and BC2 etc.
Ive been saving for a few years to get an upgrade but heard about the new sandy bridge processers late last year and thought i might as well wait for those to be released before i make any purchases :). So my budget is around £1500-£1700, im pretty much after a beast that can play my current games such as black OPs WoW, BC2 etc on ultra, and aswell tackle some of the top end games which ive been wanting to try for a long time :D. One option would be the prebuilt 'Ultima Tyrannosaur' which is £1700, I do have some experience in building PCs however do not have any experience in overclocking so this may prove to be the better option for me, Help would be appriciated, Thank you :)

Id personally go for a self build, such as this, used an OCd bundle though so you dont have to worry about that, imo the 580 isnt worth the premium over a 570, by doing it this way youre getting a much nicer case and solid PSU which would allow the addition of a 2nd 570 in a coupla years if you did ever need more power. This is a few hundred quid cheaper too, which you could put towards a nice new monitor

"Radon Allosaur" Intel Core i5 2500K 3.30GHz @ 4.60GHz Overclocked Bundle - Asus £449.99
Palit GeForce GTX 570 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £275.99
BeQuiet Dark Power Pro P8 1000W Modular Power Supply £184.84
OCZ Vertex 2 "25nm Edition" 100GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive (OCZSSD2-2VTX100G) £163.39
Coolermaster HAF X Gaming Tower Case - Black (RC-942) £142.97
Samsung SH-B123L/RSBP 12x BD-ROM / 16x DVD Writer Drive - Black (Retail) £55.14
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (ST31000528AS) £45.95
Sub Total : £1,098.55
Shipping cost assumes delivery to UK Mainland with:
DPD Next Day Parcel
(This can be changed during checkout) Shipping : £13.75
VAT is being charged at 20.00% VAT : £222.46
Total : £1,334.76

Alternatively if you dont want to build yourself, look at the Spinosaur and upgrade the gfx card to a 570, maybe throw in a SSD as above, i7 offers nothing over i5 in terms of gaming performance

Thanks for the help :)! I did buy a nice new acer 24" moniter a year ago however as i was fed up with the old 15" :D. I reckon the 3d gaming sounds like a good idea though and i would need a new monitor for that, and i could then use this one as a secondary? what do you reckon? :) cheers again.
