So bit stuck on which machine to buy at the end of the month. Prefer going for a pre-built one and have been looking at this as I do lan a lot, so power and looks are quite important :p

Was going to put 2 x 970's in and go with two solid states. My dilemma is the price is coming out at £2064.94.

Now do I go for it, or get a better spec machine for the same price that may not look so nice.

Ahhh, please help really can't decide.

Thanks.

Hi.

If you LAN a lot would something smaller and more portable not be more useful?

Also instead of two 970s a single 980ti will match that pretty much or indeed the new FuryX cards which are released this week, i am sure OcUK will have new options using these.

Hi Stulid,

My current PC is a small form factor with case being a Coolermaster Elite 130. Only thing I've found is when it gets really hot in places it doesn't always cope too well. I'm not too bothered by size of the machine, as transporting it has never been a problem.

Just this time round I fancied something that has power, but also looks pretty decent as well, plus always had a thing for white setups.

Hi Micky,

Thanks for that, system looks pretty good.

As it is in budget, would you suggest I go for a 980ti, or a Titan X.

I would go with the 980 ti or wait for the Fury X. Just make sure you have a good Monitor (1440p+) to make the most use of it.

Get a single card can always add another at a later date . What res do you plan on gaming at ?

I have a 4k monitor & a 144hz one. Plan is to switch between the two, as single player games will be on the 4k one, but when I play CS:GO I prefer to play with the 144hz.

Gotta be the 980ti over the titan x as they are to close in performance but not in price. The AMD 390x Fury will be released on June 24 just to throw it in the mix.
