Dont know if I should start a new thread as its more of the same but I need help, hope this is the right forum, I want to get a gaming PC and Im not that knowledgeable of PCs and their parts. I want to play the new Battlefield 1 well, so this build would be just gaming.

My budget is £1300 for the PC tower, Im thinking of getting the Asus VG248QE monitor, any comments on this monitor? it seems like good value, for the tower I like the look of intel i5 6600k, GTX 1070 and a good 16GB of ram, are these good choices? I dont know anything about the rest of a PC build.

Thanks for any help, appreciate it.

That's a very good start! The 1070 can push higher than 1080p, have you considered a higher resolution monitor? Pretty sure you can pick up a 1440p for 200 or so - a similar price to what you'll spend on the AOC, although it'll only be 60 hertz. Something to think about.

You would have to advise me about overclocking I know nothing about it, what kind of monitor can I get for around £250? I like the sound of high refresh rate but higher resolution is good too.

Here is a single gpu system with a 1080p G-Sync monitor. For SLI you would need a different board (SLI ready) and a bigger psu.

The cpu cooler should just fit. Listed as 159mm and the case takes up to 160mm.

Overclockers can build you the system if you ask in the customer services pre-sales section at the top of the forum. Just post the basket in there when you have decided on what you want, and they can give you a quote.
