Morning all,
Sorry if this is the wrong section, but I am wondering if anyone can either provide some insight or point me in the right direction of properly optimising my pc for gaming.

I7 9700k no OC 16gb G skill ram (not sure on mhz need to check) 2070 rog strix gpu (wanting to upgrade but more chance of winning the lottery)
Games are installed on ssd
Forgive me i am not particularly great at any of this and may have blindly followed a few of the many warzone optimization guides!

Right so I have no problem running warzone etc as long as I enable uac virtualization and set priority to real time.. I average around 120 fps, if I do not set priority to real time my fps is around 70-80 with stutters. My cpu usage is 100% (real time) - once again it all runs fine for hours on end, I am just a little worried I am/have done something wrong.
Should I really have to load the game open task manager, details, enable virtualization, set priority to real time, every time I play the game?
I did recently fit a new motherboard and did not clean and re apply thermal paste to cpu (should arrive today) will re do that.

Same boat as any other gamer just want the best out of what we have without the knowledge on how to achieve it.

Thanks in advance for any help

Start- up, reduce down to a minimum. Programs that begin when you turn on PC.
XMP profile in BIOS. Enable your true memory speed in BIOS, if not already done. Motherboards tend to go for lowest safe speed instead of true DDR4 speed.
Open task manager in Windows, look at programs you are running sucking up CPU runtime and question whether needed. Anti-virus, use Windows Defender and malware bytes free instead.
NVIDIA GeForce Experience, optimise the game via the free software.
SSD, optimal installation of SSD, is use of about 50%-60%, use more and fill SSD up it will run slower. Say 80-90% is bad for SSD game usage.
Download MSI afterburner, see clocks on your GPU and overclock it but bear in mind safe limits and heat.
CPU throttling, your CPU will slow down and throttle if you overheat. Yes check temps and perform check with Hardware Monitor software.

What monitor do you have?

I don't know anything about optimising Warzone, but from what I have read, you really can't expect good performance from it. The limitation seems to be the CPU, which will hit 100% at about 120fps on a 1440p monitor.

I have a gigabyte FI27Q-X at 1440p and now have a 3080, even oc'd my cpu and it still runs terrible. Cold war is fine though.
