I replaced my cpu from ryzen 5 5500 to ryzen 9 5900x, after replacing it i am not getting any signal but pc is on, i tried putting the old cpu back in to see if there needed to be a bios update but still no signal even with the old cpu in

More than happy to paypal someone £20 is they can help me fix this issue im really confused on why it isnt working and cant find anything to do with it on youtube besides one video which suggests putting the old cpu in to check bios for updates which i couldnt do because my okd cpu would no longer work now, i also reset the cmos which didnt help, and also my motherboard is ASUS PRIME A520M-A II, which does support the upgrade so i am lost and confused to what is going on and why even my old cpu is now not working

Try disconnecting the power lead to the psu and remove the bios battery, my b550 can be a pain in the ass to clear the cmos it has a button to do it which doesn't seem to do anything.

As mentioned above, disconnect the mains power, remove the cmos battery and then hold down the power button for 20 seconds, this will make sure there is no power left in the system.

I would also check the board\CPU for any bent or damaged pins as well.

Won't be the bios as the 5900x is supported from release, as mentioned above check the CPU socket on the motherboard for bent pins.
