Currently thinking of getting the new 43" 4k phillips monitor when it comes out.
But im not sure my 2x titan blacks will be up for it very well. No point upgrading my cards yet with 1080 coming out soonish, and if i did upgrade my graphics cards i could only afford one high end 980ti and that wont be much of an upgrade and id still struggle with 4k. Am i right in what im saying or would i cope alright.
I only play rpg, third person games, rts and the odd platform game. So apart from witcher 3 the games aint too demanding.

Current cards aren't really designed for 4K, imo.

Significant changes are going to occur in the GPU market soon that will better support gaming at 4K as well as other vectors like VR.

Give it a bit of time and re-evaluate.

I will only make the jump to 4k when it becomes feasible on a single GPU.
